Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position is for a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) supporting K-12 students across multiple school sites, including elementary, middle, and high schools. The role engages directly with students to assist the Speech Language Pathologist in delivering effective speech and language services.
Location: Raeford, NC
Employment Type: Contract, School Year (CSY)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Duration: Immediate start through May 28, 2026
Work Setting: Onsite, multiple school sites
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Speech Language Pathologist in providing speech and language therapy services to K-12 students
- Support individualized education programs (IEPs) by implementing treatment plans under supervision
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with educators and therapy team members to promote effective communication skills in students
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of therapeutic goals
Qualifications:
- Active NC license as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant is required
- Experience working with children in school settings, preferably across multiple grade levels
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work onsite consistently across various school locations
- Commitment to supporting student development in speech and language
